Abstract :
In this paper, we report for the first time to our knowledge a diode pumped cone-refringent Nd:KGW laser in a simple two mirror cavity configuration that produces constant output power and excellent beam quality independent of cavity length even at the edge of stability. We present a simple cavity design rule that predicts the maximum cavity length that is stable for the operation of this laser and also analyse the beam quality of the output.
