Abstract
The boundary element method (BEM) is briefly outlined. The method is applied to various types of transmission lines, like striplines, microstrip lines with isotropic or anisotropic substrate, coupled microstrip lines, and planar stripline junctions. The method provides a great economy in memory storage requirements and computer running time
