  • Abstract
We introduce all-digital receiver structures for ultra wideband orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (UWB-OFDM) systems. These all-digital receiver structures are digital equivalents or extensions of equivalent analog structures that have previously been proposed. The structures use one bit K-tone sigma-delta analog-to-digital converters. They deal with multipath, observation and quantization noise simultaneously. The digital implementation of different receivers, such as maximum likelihood multi-carrier (ML-MC) receiver, single-carrier RAKE receiver and sub-carrier pilot assisted receiver, are studied.
