Abstract :
The sideband injection locking technique is studied for the first time to the authors´ best knowledge as a way to generate orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal at millimetric frequencies. Simulation results are presented to show its performance in terms of electrical modulation index, and electrical modulation frequency. The viability of this technique to generate millimetric 16QAM-OFDM signals is reported, obtaining bit error rates of 10-7 for 625 Mbps and 10-4 for 1250 Mbps bit rates with spectral efficiency of 3.4 bps/Hz.
