Abstract
For efficient use of regenerative braking energy in traction supply system, a novel Energy-saving traction supply system is proposed in this paper, consisting of diode rectifiers with high-power PWM rectifiers. In this paper, a multiple topology with PWM rectifiers is given, as well as its control strategy. Also, based on the output characteristics of diode rectifier, a coordinated control strategy between diode and PWM rectifiers is proposed. At the end of this paper, results from simulation and experiment are presented, demonstrating that the novel traction supply system proposed will see its widely application in the future.
