Abstract :
The reliability and safety of information transmission can be improved when leaky waveguide is used as transmission medium of train-ground wireless communication in CBTC (Communication Based Train Control). Based on the theory of leaky waveguide, this paper studies the propagation characteristics of leaky waveguide by means of magnetic dipole, and compares the simulation results with field tests performed in Beijing subway Line 1. Simultaneously, the test results of propagation characteristics in the case of leaky waveguide covered by snow are given in this paper, which can be used to analyze the influence on quality of train-ground communication in different situations of snow coverage.
