Abstract :
This paper presents a complementary distributed generation (DG) with wind and photovoltaic powers. And it gives a detailed analysis of the effects for the various states of this DG to the island´s voltage and frequency, and presents an optimization strategy called under-frequency load shedding in the island to increase the accuracy of model. On this basis, it builds a reliability analysis and calculation model for distribution network taking into the stochastic characteristics of the DG. Taking RBTS 6-bus distribution system for example, the reliability indices are calculated without DG, with the wind-power DG, with the photovoltaic DG and the complementary DG to system, to illustrate the rationality and validity of the model. And it verifies the DG making a role in improving the reliability of the distribution network, and compared to the same capacity DG with single energy power, the complementary DG is more competitive in improving the reliability of the distribution network system.
