Title :
Towards a theory of abstraction and visualization for debugging massively parallel programs
Author :
LaPolla, Mark Vincent
Abstract :
Presents the Integrated Visualization Environment (IVE), a graphical debugging tool for (massively) parallel programs. In order to be able to readily interpret the debugging visualizations produced by IVE, the visualizations should be created from program specifications, specifically abstract data type specifications. The author presents a nascent theory of visualization generation from abstract data type specifications. He then shows how such visualizations may be applied to debugging massively parallel programs
