Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Far infrared (10-250 cm/sup -1/) reflectance spectra of the complex HgTe-CdTe superlattice (proposed to replace alloy Hg/sub 1-x/CdTe in infrared detection) give: carrier effective mass; an estimate of the controversial valence band offset: the amount of Hg in nominally pure CdTe: layer thickness.
