Abstract :
The paper discussed the relationship between mode of production and paradigm of product development, analyzed the principles and features of mass customization design, and proposed a product-family-oriented industrial design procedure. The product structure related with this design method provides the possibilities for user to customize or involve in design, as well as it is helpful to design parallelization and agility.
