Abstract :
A new methodology has been proposed which offers a systematic approach to use the so called "performance index" or cost function as the basic tool to incorporate the dynamics of the aircraft in the process of trajectory planning. Moreover, by using nondimensional parameters a better understanding of the dynamic terms are provided
