Dielectric resonator in nonradiative dielectric waveguide bandstop filter

Tfie dielectric resonator in Nonradiative Dielectric (NRD) waveguide is considered as a section of infinite long dielectric rod waveguide which is cut out by two infinite parallel metal plates. When it is used as resonant element of the MW waveguide bandstop filter, the theoretical resonant frequency of the daielectric resonator calculated by the method which is applied in this paper is in very good agreement with the experimental stopband center frequency of the filter.
