Abstract :
Summary form only given. Metallodielectric multilayers are appealing nanostructures due to their potential for sub-wavelength focusing and also their highly non-linear optical response. We have developed a novel and scalable approach to fabricate multilayers which utilizes a floating and rolling technique in order to create metamaterials from a single flexible metallodielectric bi-layer. Full freedom of the layer thickness is offered by this approach [1]. Here we focus on a Bragg-arranged design which exhibits highly transmissive minibands (∼60%), giving access to the metal nonlinearities while maintaining low absorption (Fig. 1).
