Abstract :
This work presents the use of fuzzy logic to derive a practical control scheme for Boost rectifier, which operates in, continues conduction mode (CCM) as a power factor correction converter. A new single input fuzzy logic controller instead of conventional double input fuzzy controllers is applied. There are some advantages of this new approach. One of which is simplicity as no linearized model of the power converter is required. The other advantage is the easier hardware implementation. The proposed fuzzy control is evaluated by computer simulation as well as experimental measurements of the closed-loop performance of the converter in respect to load regulation and line regulation.
