Abstract :
Using a yaw velocity sensor into EPS (electric power steering system), we can build up a man-vehicle system model including EPS in the paper. After simulation analysis, it is shown that vehicle´s yaw velocity response is improved remarkably by introducing yaw velocity negative feed into the model with front wheel´s steer angle step input and the EPS powered torque response curve arises evenly and slowly. This is useful to vehicles´ driving at high speed on low friction coefficient road so as to improve the vehicles´ safety in driving.
