Abstract
Investigates film making as a source of inspiration for the design of interaction with intelligent systems. Film is a highly visual medium that is often particularly effective for communicating information. Film makers have developed a number of formal and informal techniques for analyzing actions, representing them effectively and communicating them to others. The main goal of an interface is to communicate information effectively to a user. As interfaces become more graphically oriented, these techniques can help in developing methods for analysis and presentation. The paper is an attempt to apply cinematic analysis and film language to the task of making more intuitive, appealing, and effective interfaces
