Abstract :
DOIs are unique and persistent names assigned to any entity for use on Internet digital networks, a registration system using DOI is a useful and practical way to promote the publication and sharing of the scientific content, including scientific literature and scientific data and other resources resulted from the scientific research. This paper outlines the architecture of registration system for scientific content using DOI, and then analyzes the registration workflow between different stakeholders involved in the system, the paper also show that only the registered scientific content cited by the articles could be included in the library catalogue, the paper also shows that only the registered scientific content cited by the articles could be included in the library catalogue, the developed architecture and workflow are tested in the DOI registration system for scientific data. The system will contribute to build the new relationship between different kinds of scientific contents and finally change traditional library into a comprehensive information portal.
