Abstract :
In order to improve the efficiency of data communication between S7-200 Programmable Controllers, a simple communication protocol is created with Freeport Mode. According to the test conducted on LabVIEW platform, the protocol is proved to be capable of improving the communication efficiency when sampling rate required is comparatively high and when the number of nodes within the network is limited.
