            Abstract : 
In order to satisfy the requirement of strong robustness of ship motion controller, an intelligent sliding-mode controller based on cloud model is designed. With reasoning method of cloud models, the reaching speed of the controller can be dynamically adjusted and the chattering problem is solved. The validity of the controller is demonstrated by the simulation of the ship course control.
