Abstract :
The main target of radio network planners is to create a mobile communication network that provides good performance with minimum implementation cost. So for increasing the number of users and gives good area coverage, the planners must utilize all possible resources to improve capacity and coverage area for the cellular network. The aim of this paper is to investigate, the impact of the base station site configurations (number of sectors, sector orientations), antenna configurations (antenna beamwidth and tilting) on the capacity also repeater for wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) on the coverage area using simulation. The studied area is a cellular network with 13*13 Km containing 19 sites. The results obtained show that the capacity depend on many parameters (service type, interference, number of sectors, sector orientations, antenna tilt) and can be increased by the proper choice of these parameters. Repeater system is suitable to solve the problem of the dead zone in WCDMA network.
