Abstract :
The evaluation of DC arc resistance has assumed importance with the advent of DC transmission systems and associated equipment. The authors propose a novel method for determining the DC arc resistance. Using this method, the DC arc resistance of a wide variety of organic insulating materials has been determined and the surface behavior under AC and DC has been compared
