Abstract :
A method for the multimode characterization of an arbitrarily shaped discontinuity on a rectangular waveguide with 2D-TLM is presented. This, together with the use of a multimodal absorbing boundary condition (ABC), will allow us to solve complicated problems by decomposing them into zones irregularly shaped and waveguide sections of separable geometry. The former are analyzed with the multimodal TLM approach and characterized through their generalized scattering matrix (GSM). Results of the analysis of inductive irises on a rectangular waveguide are presented.
