Abstract :
In this paper, several conventional plug in hybrid electric vehicle charger front end AC-DC converter topologies are investigated and a new bridgeless interleaved PFC converter is proposed to improve the efficiency and performance. Experimental and simulation results of a prototype boost converter converting universal AC input voltage to 400 V DC at 3.4 kW are given to verify the proof of concept, and analytical work reported in this paper.
