Abstract :
Authors use four OA journals in the field of information and library science during 2001 to 2005. Our research concentrates on the citation analysis of these OA journals´ articles. The four journals contained 455 articles and were cited 4338 times. The average rate of citations per OA articles was 9.49. We found that the citation can be seen as a trend of decrease during 2001 to 2004. We also found that most of the articles (32.03%) have received citations under the stratum of ¿1-5¿. 29.85% of these articles have not received any citation. During the research on citation life of articles, we found the speed of getting citations is not accelerating with the electronic technologies which accelerate the publication speed.
