Abstract
Previous work by the authors, using the techniques described, has been carried out in clear polyester resin, in order to establish the efficacy of ultrasound in the detection and location of clearly visible known imperfections in this material. Current work extends the investigation into opaque systems (filled polymers) to determine the applicability and limitations of ultrasound in more practical insulation
