Abstract
In this study ceramics of composition Zr0.8Sn0.2 TiO4 have been prepared by the mixed oxide route using different divalent and trivalent mixed oxide additives. The effect of cooling rate after sintering, sintering atmosphere and additives on the structure and dielectric Q values is assessed. Low frequency (1500 Hz) dielectric measurements of capacitance and loss factor were performed at room temperature on polished discs, using a Wayne Kerr 6425 precision component analyser. High frequency dielectric measurements were performed at 5 GHz with a network analyser and sweep oscillator, using the Hakki and Coleman method (1960)
