Abstract
As a novel power transmission component, the Skewed -Roller Slipping Clutch (SRSC) combines both clutch and bearing functions. In this paper, with the considerations of frictional contact and dynamic equilibrium of the rollers, the effects of roller profiled parameters on the von Mises stress are discussed and the optimal modification parameters are calculated under the different axial loads. In addition, the limiting resistant torque characteristics of the SRSC with optimal profiled rollers are discussed in detail.
