  • Abstract
    Among microwave methods for the measurement of complex permittivity of dielectric materials are the `transmission-line type´ methods. The principle of the short circuit method is shown. The measurements are performed on the standing wave in front of dielectric sample in a slotted waveguide. In this paper a new variant named `improved short-circuit´ (ISC) method is described; also, experimental results on `polyamide-66´ samples are reported and a detailed analysis of the total relative errors is performed
