  • Abstract
One problem with polymeric electrical insulation is chemical degradation under the influence of long-time electrical exposure. As a result of the resonance-stabilized aromatic ring, polystyrene exhibits relatively good insulating properties. In this work the authors present PD resistance data for well-characterized styrene polymers with various electron-donating and electron-accepting substituents
