Abstract :
The results presented in this paper contribute to the investigations on the impact of the user´s hand on the SAR in the head. Six laboratories have assessed the peak spatial-averaged SAR at 1950 MHz for 33 commercial phones with varied form factors, either held in one of 3 different hand phantoms or without a hand. This study confirms conclusions from previously published analyses that, in some cases, the head SAR can be enhanced by the presence of the hand.
