Abstract :
In April 1992, the CCITT approved a new Recommendation, `T.611-Programmable Communication Interface (PCI) Appli/Com for facsimile group 3, facsimile group 4, teletex and telex services´. The author discusses the main principles of the T.611 standard. He then discusses how this standard compares with other competitors and describes the kind of products that can derive from the T.611 standard
