General chair´s message

Howdy y´all! On behalf of the entire ICASSP 2010 Organizing Committee and the IEEE Signal Processing Society, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2010 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A., held from March 14 to March 19, 2010. Our Conference is the 35th in a series of signal processing conferences dating back to 1976, when the first ICASSP was held in Philadelphia, PA. Our Conference is back in the United States after a highly-successful ICASSP 2009 in Taipei, Taiwan. Next year, ICASSP will travel to Central Europe, where it will be held in late May of 2011 in the beautiful jewel of a city that is Prague, Czech Republic. The tour that ICASSP takes from continent to continent underscores the international nature and global impact of the signal processing field. For those of you who are attending ICASSP from abroad, we especially welcome you after your long journey. No matter from where you have traveled, we hope that you find your stay in Dallas to be informative, invigorating, and most of all fun!
