High resolution radar for enhanced target detection

Discusses the use of high-resolution radar (HRR) to achieve an improvement in target detection. This is pursued by optimizing the transfer of energy from the transmitter via the target to the receiver according to the concept of matched transfer functions. In essence, the proposed technique makes use of a-priori information on the target EM scattering characteristics to condition the transmitted waveform and the receiver processing function
