Abstract :
This paper presents the compensating current control of shunt active power filter using space vector PWM. The synchronous detection method is used to calculate the reference currents for shunt active power filter. The control strategy of shunt active power filter using PI controllers on dq frame is also presented in the paper. The simulation results for the harmonic elimination show that the source currents are nearly sinusoidal waveform after compensation and %THD value of source currents are followed the IEEE Std.519-1992.
