Motion compensation in a time domain SAR processor

Radiometric errors and azimuth ambiguity increases due to large line-of-sight phase corrections are overcome in an azimuth compression module which allows along-track variation of the Doppler centroid, preserving the azimuth geometry without image resampling. Results from the experimental PHARS radar prove that this processor can produce well-focused, undistorted and radiometrically consistent imagery where plain phase correction would be insufficient
