Abstract :
This paper considers the low frequency radar LARA four-element antenna array. The elements are arranged linearly with an equidistant horizontal spacing of 0.8 λ. Two jammer signals are arriving from -10° and 30° offbroadside. The jammer-to-noise power ratio related to one element is 25 db. The received power after filtering is plotted against the direction of the antenna. For all three possible signal models the ML-estimators of the angles of incidence and the amplitude (respectively the power) are calculated. The Cramer-Rao bounds are derived, in order to predict the dispersion of the estimators. A statistical test to detect the target signal is proposed. Simulation results are described and the ML-estimators are applied to a spatial filter of the generalized sidelobe canceller type
