Abstract :
There exist plenty of pipe drawings of the design and production in chemical enterprises. Some problems related to 3D pipe design were studied in the paper. It involved 3D pipe reconstruction based on 2D pipe drawings and 3D pipe modeling based on parametric technique. Coordinate transformation, recognizing and matching of pipe segments, 3D parametric design were researched. The conditions to determine pipe´s interference were analyzed in details. On the platform of AutoCAD, with VBA being used as a development tool, a case study was realized.
