Abstract :
The design of two special chips allowing the measurement of on-chip crosstalk is discussed. The requirements concerning parameters to be measured are set, and the practical realisation of the chip is shown. The chips were designed with a lot of op-amps and/or coupled line traces on the silicon, so that crosstalk should be generated on the chip itself. Concerning the digital crosstalk chip, special control circuitry allows one to set each trace on the chip at a logical low or high level, or to put pulses on it. Both chips were produced in 3 μ technology. For both chips, the measurement results are discussed
