Abstract :
This paper addresses power quality (PQ) from the perspective of JEA, a municipal utility in the State of Florida, USA. PQ is discussed with a clear understanding of the definition, causes, problems and solutions that address issues from both the utility and customer´s point of view. Case studies are also presented based on actual problems experienced at various customer sites. The end result is a realistic understanding of PQ issues and the roles of utility and customer in resolving PQ problems
