Abstract :
The sinusoidal form electricity supply network is increasingly affected by interferences such as harmonics and DC components. Its load tends to affect mainly directly connected electricity meters. Modern meter test equipment should therefore be able to generate these interference components so as to be able to analyse the reactions of static electricity meters. However, this means that the appropriate measuring functions must be available to provide useful results. Especially when testing static electricity meters where the current tested is affected by DC components, special measures are called for. The author describes some solutions using advanced electronics and the corresponding measurement technology, which meets the requirements
