Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a new time-stable geocast protocol, called iDTSG, for post crash notification in vehicular highway networks. iDTSG is an improvement of the existing DTSG protocol. From ns-3 simulation with realistic channel model and vehicle mobility model, iDTSG achieves almost 100% delivery ratio, similar to DTSG, but at a much lower cost of rebroadcast packets, in low vehicle densities. The results also show that the dynamic estimation of the inter-veicle spacing used in iDTSG performs well.
