Abstract
A circularly-polarized dual-feed crossed-slot antenna is presented. By switching to like and difference mode excitations, the entire space is spanned by the antenna radiation pattern. The antenna is analyzed using a time-domain MOM approach. This technique is capable of analyzing the antenna characteristics over a wide frequency band in one application of the numerical method. By using dual-feed and dual-excitation modes, circular-polarization, wide bandwidth, and large space coverage is realized. The antenna is useful for mobile communication systems and tracking applications. The theoretical and experimental results are in good agreement.
