Abstract :
The numerical modeling of the explosion of thin metallic wires in water is considered. For cylindrical geometry the set of hydrodynamical equations was solved numerically using a real expression for the equation of state, and electrical conductivity. A comparison between calculation and experimental data was made based on the numerical results. changes of state for different parts of the discharge channel during UPD (underwater pulse discharge) on the phase diagram were examined. Finally, some technological units that use UPD energy are examined
