Abstract :
The design of sliding mode controller for networked control systems (NCSs) with uncertainties and network-induced delays is concerned in this paper. A new delayed model for NCSs is proposed first. Then a novel systematic sliding mode controller design method for uncertain time-delay systems is presented in detail. The key step is to use a particular transformation to convert the original time-delay system into a delay-free system and the SMC design is on the basis of the transformed system. Optimal control theory is adopted to construct the optimal sliding manifold. And the selected control law can ensure the existence of the sliding mode and alleviate chattering effectively. Furthermore, a sufficient condition that guarantees the global asymptotic stability of the original system is derived. Finally, simulation results verify that the proposed method can guarantee the NCS´s stability and also have good robustness to parameter variations and external disturbance
