  • Abstract
    In the paper, extended-circular flights characteristics of rotary dryers is researched. On the basis of the mathematical model, a set of equations has been derived to calculate the solids holdup on extended-circular flights in such dryers. The solids holdup and its ratio to the maximum are explored. A kind of practical rotary dryer is simulated by VB program language. The simulated results, obtained in three different conditions, show that the mathematical model established for the solids holdup is correct, because the results inosculate with the fact. Furthermore, the programming provides valuable reference to such research.
