Abstract
Vibration signal processing is the foundation of the machinery status monitor and fault diagnosis. Methods for stationary signals and non-stationary signals processing are summarized in this paper. Moreover, a new 3-DOF model of vibrating screen for its fault diagnosis, as well as its dynamic analysis, is presented to more entirely describe the fault characteristic. When the device is excited by a harmonic force, time response of the vibrating screen with one spring failing and no spring failing are compared to show the difference. Finally, methods of signal processing for vibrating screen fault diagnosis are pointed out, which is worth further study.
