Abstract :
The cooperative pre-data-fusion is a novel approach for a cooperative environment perception system. It is being developed within the integrated research project SAFESPOT under the subproject SAFEPROBE which specifies and develops an in-vehicle sensing platform. This paper describes the approach of fusing laserscanner data with information of surrounding vehicles, transferred to the host-vehicle using wifi-technology in a cooperative way.
