Abstract :
A decentralized DC power system has been developed at NTT. The authors describe the transient voltage characteristics in the power system as well as the power converter characteristics. Transient voltage which may occur during commercial power failures was analyzed using computer simulation. The analysis clarified the relationships between transient voltage and impedance in the power system. A small, light and highly efficient rectifier and booster converter have been developed for the power system by utilizing series resonant converter techniques
