Abstract :
The degradation of insulation materials of the multi contacts electrical connector often resulted in malfunction of the electronic system in harsh environment, due to which, we put up a model for the electrical connector with degraded insulation and the simulation for the model was also investigated. It was found that a current leakage channel was formed because of the degradation of the insulation which reduced the resistance of the insulation materials markedly. Through the channel the signals between the two contacts affected each other , the result of which was that the signals turned to be the mixed one of the signals in different contacts, and as the resistance of the insulation materials reduced , the signal is distorted badly and badly.
