Abstract :
Recent studies show that the Jelinski-Moranda model always gives an optimistic prediction for software reliability. The major reason for this shortcoming is that each fault occurring in the model is assumed to have exactly the same contribution to the failure rate. In this study the authors assume that different faults may have different contributions to the failure rate. In addition, the structure of software is also incorporated in their approach
